A leaked Black Ops 6 perk due to come in a future update could be a total game-changer for players, as it brings back a fan-favorite killstreak system from the original Modern Warfare 3 in 2011. While new seasons of Call of Duty are best known for bringing new maps, modes, and weapons to the game, we also get new perks to try and little things that could greatly change how we approach the game. Black Ops 6 has been no different, with new perks coming sporadically to both multiplayer and Warzone, though none have really become ‘meta’ so to speak. Perkstreak perkComing from the ever-reliable RealityUK, this new perk is apparently going to be called ‘Perkstreak’ and does exactly that: grants you perks for going on streaks. That means while you will start with your base perks, you’ll earn new ones for going on certain streaks, though it’s not clear exactly how the specifics would work. Article continues after ad
Using the Perkstreaks perk does mean that you won’t be able to earn scorestreaks, therefore sacrificing the likes of your UAV or Overwatch Helo, though for some players you might prefer this if you don’t feel like you get enough out of your regular scorestreaks. Article continues after adVeterans of the Call of Duty franchise will be familiar with the perk streak system due to it being an option in 2011’s Modern Warfare 3, known as specialist streaks. In MW3, specialist streaks stacked by getting three, five, or seven straight kills, with players able to select the perks they earned. After nine kills, players earned all the perks and weapon proficiencies that were available as a “specialist bonus,” similar to how the Specialist package works in Warzone Resurgence.
