The draw for the group stage of the European Minor Championship has been made, PGL has revealed. From January 29-31, PGL's brand new Bucharest studio will stage the European Minor Championship, featuring eight teams, all of whom come from online qualifiers hosted last week. A total of $50,000 will be on offer at the Minor, which will also rewarding the winning side with a spot at the MLG Columbus major offline qualifier, taking place from February 26-28.
The tournament will feature a double-elimination group stage, with the Upper Finals and the Decider being played in a best-of-three format. The top two from each four-team group will advance to the single-elimination, best-of-three playoffs. Below you can find the group draw in full:
Joining PGL's duo of Matthew "Sadokist" Trivett and Henry "HenryG" Greer on the event's on-air team will be Richard Lewis and Joona "natu" Leppänen, with more names to be announced as we get closer to the event. The $50,000 prize pool will be distributed between the top four finishers in the following way:
